3. K1 Enrollment ends in January

To all families hoping to secure a K1 spot for a younger sibling, please make sure to enter your child’s name in the first round of applications in January.  If you wait, you may lose the seat.

As many of you already know, due to the high number of siblings, not all prospective k1 students will be given a seat next fall.  Do not hesitate to contact Mr. D’ablemont Burnes at 617-635-8102, with any questions or concerns.

For further information on the application process, please contact the West Zone Family Resource Center at 617 635 8040 or click Family Resource Center

5. January’s Genre Challenge is Realistic Fiction

genre challengeThe challenge is to have the students read at least three books each month of that particular genre. Once they have finished reading a book, each classroom teacher has a small form that the student has to fill out with their name, title of the book, genre title, grade, and a brief summary of the book.

When the form is filled out, they bring it to Ms. Cahill before the end of the month
