Expansion News

Some members of our community were able to make it to a meeting on expansion last week. Unfortunately, there was short notice of the change, so the notes are available HERE, and a notice will be sent out for the follow-up meeting.

The short story: the Manning is looking to expand, at least one grade, for the 2015-2016 school year. In order to get that done we, as a community, have to get ourselves in front of the Boston School Committee repeatedly to plead our case. It’s up to us.

Read the meeting notes carefully, so you can come to the next meeting with ideas and questions!

School News!

Craft Night is becoming a beloved tradition at the Manning.
Join the fun on February 7th from 5:30-7:30. Some details still need to be ironed out, but as in years past, there will be a per family charge (usually about $10), which provides drinks and pizza dinner, as well as all the crafty fun you can manage!

Parent Council
Don’t miss the next Parent Council Meeting on February 11. Until then, you can read the minutes from last week’s meeting and catch up on what this amazing community is doing to support our school!
Site Council Update
It’s budget time for Boston Public Schools. If you’re interested in how the School Site Council advises on budgetary expenditures, be sure to read the meeting minutes. Really scintillating, I tell you.
